Encapsulated source of formic acid with citric acid manufactured by a unique technology

Formyl is manufactured using our patented microencapsulated fluid bed protection process. This enables a blend of calcium formate and citric acid to be presented in powder form which makes it safer to handle in the feed and premix mill and offers a significant improvement over the direct liquid addition of formic acid and other aggressive acids to feeds. Because the product is protected then it is also possible to add to a premix without it reacting to the sensitive ingredients.

Formyl acts by releasing formic acid predominately in the small intestine therefore making it very good at killing pathogens in the gut of all monogastrics such as E. Coli, Salmonella spp and Clostridia spp, when an infection occurs.
